our friend has a pit bull and has not learned to stay away for porcupines...hes come home quilled up 3 times last year and twice the year before...and it is painful

Their are three adult porcupines near my home, who come up to be fed once in a while, like now in winter, when foods scarce. They're actually quite friendly, once they get to know you. One of the females became trusting enough to bring her tiny babies to my house once, and even let me hold them!

Nature's amazing.

Tank and Casey surprisingly won't mess with them, it's like they know what would happen. They steer clear when the creatures show up.

But anyway, poor Rottie. I hope the beautiful girl learned her lesson though, and won't mess with the slow creatures again!

When my mom was a kid her family had a dog, who was forever in problems with them. It would just get healed up, or close to healed, then the dog would be back with them again. My grandfather had enough of seeing him in pain, so he put him out of his misery. One shot, no more pain.

I had to pull quills out of our dog when I was a kid...thank god he was understanding about it, I could tell it hurt like fuck.
