Re: Diseased Vaginas
I had a recurrent Bartholin's cyst. It's when the gland gets blocked. The gland is partially responsible for lubrication. It has nothing to do with STDs or being unhygienic, some women are just more susceptible than others. They usually happen during child-bearing years, and well, I'm 28 years old. If they occur after 40, they can be super dangerous. After my OB-GYN drained it, it re-occurred and it was drained again. After it happened a third time (exact same place), she cut it open and removed the whole thing making sure to get the cyst walls. You can read more about them here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartholin's_cyst |
