My father had a wound on his foot due to diabetes and it was necrotic
he had to have the black necrotic tissue shaved off...he died from compilations due to this

I'm sorry for your loss.

My mom has diabetes but she is managing it well now. In the beginning, we almost lost her numerous times because of diabetic shock because she didn't take it seriously.

Not at all and I'm surprised at the number of people who just don't give a shit. I'm excluding people who can't afford insulin, of course.

My DBiL had Diabetes-1, in the last years he had a foot wound that caused him so much pain that he randomly screamed. This caused the formerly extroverted man to exile himself to his bedroom. The sad part was that he DID care for himself regarding the diabetes, religiously so! He measured and ate all the right foods, on the clock. He exercised. He checked his blood regularly and took his insulin. For all his care he lost his vision, had to have a kidney transplant, then the foot wound, and then the final insult a massive brain aneurysm. He never even reached 50.

Thank you. Only the good die young, my Dad died at 47. I guess I must be a horrible person because I'm still alive .
