I think these are just genetic or congenital deformities. Caused by anything really. Bad breeding from genetically afflicted parents, chemical use etc. Or possibly up the bum conceiving via the locals lol

The kids all have holoprosencephaly (cyclopia). It happens when the brain doesn't divide into two hemispheres during prenatal development. That's why the eyeballs are in one big eye socket. I'm surprised these kids are alive and standing up, looking around. Human babies with this condition are usually stillborn, or die shortly after birth.
