Re: Deformed Baby - Treature Collins Syndrome
Too bad your parents didn't share your philosophy.

She should have terminated as soon as they knew something was wrong. Poor little girl. A life of pain ahead of her..... absolutely heartbreaking.

This is why a bucket of water should be bedside during childbirth. If the kid comes out with birth defects like this, it can be drowned immediately. Or give it a dose of the chemicals they use for lethal injection. I don't care, just put the kid out of its misery. |

I think the parents are totally selfish to keep her alive.

Would be interesting to see if she is happy to be alive. She just might, since this is all she has ever known of her life.

Re: Deformed Baby - Treature Collins Syndrome
Some of you need to get it through to your thick skulls that humans don't have to be like other animals and kill off those that are weaker or have some "defect", sheesh. This is one of the benefits of western civilization and progress. Perhaps, your mindset might be more at home in some third world shithole where brutality is much more accepted.

Re: Deformed Baby - Treature Collins Syndrome
I hate to break it to you, but humans ARE baseline like other animals. For centuries, we’ve performed abortions, drowned disabled babies, left elderly people in the woods to die... When we have the capacity to help, we usually do, because we’re (for the most part) communal organisms. But why allow something or someone to suffer unnecessarily? As a medical professional, I would’ve definitely terminated this pregnancy. To bring so much agony and pain upon one little creature to appease my own and society’s selfish obsession with saviorism is not worth it to me. |
