The Dawood Military Hospital Scandal
![]() Colonel Gerald Nicholas Carozza: “Patients were lying in filth, in some cases starving and with grotesque bed sores. One patient was on the brink of starving to death.” ![]() A patient's untreated wound ![]() “The Patients’ Bill of Rights posters were found ripped off the walls lying on the ground torn to pieces ‘to allow for painting of the walls.’ This patient was not treated for three days, given no wound checks, and his dressings were soiled. Re: The Dawood Military Hospital Scandal
Oh, so you have been there? Because I will tell you that your statement is wrong in every way. This was an Afghan hospital with funding from US sources. I saw quite a few Afghans, both civilians and military, treated in the very same facilities used by US troops. I also saw children flown back to the United States from both Afghanistan and Iraq for treatment in US hospitals. So, although you can find many reasons to hate America there slappy, basing it on your comment of a short bit ago is false. |
