Update 12/15/2022.
The São Paulo court granted provisional release to the woman who shot her boyfriend in the back during an argument inside the victim's apartment on October 6, in the Cidade Líder district, in the east zone of São Paulo.

Daiana Rosa da Silva Luz, 36, was arrested by the court and was on the run for ten days. She turned herself in to the police on October 16th.

To the police, she claimed that the motivation for the discussion and shooting at her partner was jealousy. A camera in the hallway of the building recorded the moment when Daiana shoots Fábio Aurélio Silva, 42 years old.

In a decision on November 11, Judge Giovanna Christina Colares revoked the preventive detention, on the grounds that Daiana does not pose risks to the physical integrity of the victim and the progress of the investigation.

The magistrate further argued that the victim herself claimed that the defendant does not pose risks to her. The Public Ministry agreed to the release. With that, she will answer for the charge of attempted murder in freedom.
