Re: Cyst Above the Eye: Cheeeesy
It always amazes me just how much goo can be stored in such a small area of skin. I had one not nearly that big at the base of my ear one time. After getting it poked with a needle -- after which the doctor told me that I would probably need surgery to get it removed, since all she could get out of it was blood -- and two weeks of wearing bactroban under band-aids 24/7, I woke up one morning and noticed that it was really soft and squishy and had formed a head. So I stood in front of the mirror and gave it a squeeze... ...and holy fuck, the amount of crap that spilled out was unreal. It started out as a yellowish-brown mixture of blood and pus (that ran all the way down my forearm to the elbow); then thick strands of cheese; then whitish blood; and finally thicker, chunky cheese that popped and exploded out from what I assume was the base of the cyst. Super-nasty. But the feeling of relief was indescribable. It was one of the best days of my life, and I wish that I could have gotten it up-close on video. |
