Re: Cuterebra Larvae Removal From a Mouse

I'm curious to know why it took the owner of that great dane so long to take it to the vet and have those removed. There had to be at least a couple of hundred larvae they removed. What grosses me out more than the number of larvae is the idea that all of those vets removed them bare handed.

At least in humans, you can coat/pack the opening with petroleum jelly and put tape over it, suffocating and killing the worm.. Botflies have barbed "feet" all over them, and when alive will dig into the flesh to be prevented from being removed..notice the mouse was bleeding :(

Re: Cuterebra Larvae Removal From a Mouse

I've never been on reddit, instagram or any other of the newer networking sites. I'm old school!

I look for things on pinterest for sale and can never find them.

I liked the old myspace! Still hate fb changing my settings and getting every piece of shit suggestion, but, nothing I want to see!

I do not have a smart phone and don't want one.

Hate my digital camera and it hates me! Film for me!

Oh, and my car plays cds and tapes. Don't want one where I don't have to think. They are going to cause more trouble because there just aren't enough idiots driving and texting or talking today.

This place is cool for the most part! Very helpful with technical issues from other members and the moderators!

I am glad you like it here. The water cooler does get brutal at times. Some can handle it. Some, like myself, cannot.

Some get mean and cruel on the level of bullying. :disgust

I see how nice everyone is here. That's how they are on reddit at times. Sometimes you meet really nice people on there too though, my bestie and I met there. If you go to the subs that have a lot of traffic, people tend to hide behind anonymity.

Thank you for welcoming me in. I'm posting from an iPad and it's giving me trouble with links!

Not that I can recall. I usually can't finish watching them.
I can't watch that one. I think because primates are so...human like in their expressions.

When my late middle brother and I were up late and bored, we'd train the mice to come to the food.

We used to name them, but, then, there were more than we could keep track of. Fast little buggers!

They have a keen sense of smell!
