Nowhere near the actual crucifixions carried out by the Romans. Cicero once said, "no Roman should ever see one!" Also, Roman citizens were beheaded instead of crucified if given a death sentence for a crime because crucifixion was so horrible! Also, there was a group of zealots (militant Jewish sect) who surrendered, when the Romans threatened to crucify just one of their compatriots that had been captured....The real thing was much worse!!!

We all know that? Um, no. All religions are based on mass delusions, and/or ego and wishful thinking. God is a concept, it's not real. Kind of like Santa Claus or the Easter bunny.

They are not properly placing the nails either. The nails at the hands would have been nailed in the wrist between the two arm bones. Also, the legs were nailed between the ankle and the Achilles tendon. While nailed like this the weight of the body would make it impossible to take a breath. The crucified would have to push up with the legs and pull up with the arms to release pressure on the diaphragm which prevented breathing. Each breath was agonizing pain! This is why the legs were broken of the two hung with Jesus to speed death. They would not be able to lift up to get breath. I hope this helps some to understand what misery Jesus suffered for us to be free from sin.
