It seems like there would be a saline solution they could use to flush the damn things and kill them instead of removing them live!

It seems like there would be a saline solution they could use to flush the damn things and kill them instead of removing them live!
I was thinking the same thing. Drown the little bastards while giving the patient an ear wax cleaning at the same time. Doctors suggest using mineral oil to get the job done. It's thick enough to smother them, yet non-toxic and safe enough to put it in the ear canal.

Exactly, then use either a suction tube or one of the large bulb thingies to get them out
