my dad caught MRSA in the community, it almost killed him but destroyed his hip joint to the point his right leg was 2 and a half inches shorter than the left ... so it isnt just in hospitals and quite a few people carry the bug anyway so more than likely its brought into hospitals and then they get blamed...ive been swabbed and do not carry it but i know my mom had it 3 weeks after my dad got home from hospital, he was also clear of infection because of skin grafts ... they wouldnt allow him to transfer to another hospital till he had gone 3 clear swabs

I'm so glad he was alright! My son was in the PICU when he was 3 months for a reaction from vaccines and it is impossible to put it into words. It's the hardest thing anyone will ever go through. So glad there was a good outcome! |
