Re: Correction of Severe Claw Toes
Well never mind. People often blame the common foot deformity claw toe on wearing shoes that squeeze your toes, such as shoes that are too short or high heels. However, claw toe also is often the result of nerve damage caused by diseases like diabetes or alcoholism, which can weaken the muscles in your foot. Having claw toe means your toes "claw," digging down into the soles of your shoes and creating painful calluses. Claw toe gets worse without treatment and may become a permanent deformity over time. |

Re: Correction of Severe Claw Toes
Thanks, for posting that for everyone. I have some degree of 'claw toes' (I just can't bend my toes down from the first joint) and it is most certainly not from too small shoes, as the foot with the issue is about 2 shoe sizes smaller than the other. I'm mostly too chicken shit to switch for a smaller size shoe at the store, so shoes being to small is not the problem! The foot/leg in question *is* weaker as well.
