This is a case of showing conjoined twins fused at the abdomen (omphalopagus), which means the union in a transverse plane in the lower body area, so that the twins face each other.

Bare in mind miscarriage is a naturally occurring event due to complications and has nothing to do with medical or surgical abortions, or any interruption of the pregnancy!

In broad terms, conjoined twins can be regarded as a doubling anomaly. The later the incomplete embryologic separation occurs, the higher the likelihood of a complicated fusion. It more precisely refers to an incomplete splitting of the monozygotic twins after 1 2 days of embryogenesis, ending with the fetuses being physically joined at some point. These twins share a common abdominal wall and may have varying degrees of fusion involving abdominal organs such as the intestines, lived and other structures in the abdominal region.
