Geez. That's not gonna be a good life for that baby. Anti-rejection medication for it's entire life which will most likely lead to cancer.

I'm curious if the implanted heart would grow and develop with the infant. Seems like there would be issues with size, ability to pump and whatnot.

My niece had a heart transplant a few days before her first birthday. She's in her early twenties now. Yes, the meds are necessary, but she lives a relatively normal life for the most part.
