Re: Complete Degloving of Foot

Fixed it for ya.

Yeah. I remember the vid. Still waiting to read the NTSB final on that. You come across it yet?
Aha. Thanks.
I think I read the preliminary report basically the plane came in without an APU so they were leaving one engine running until they got ground power connected apparently they held two safety briefings about the procedure and that no one was to approach the plane until ground power was connected at the front and the engines were shut down and the beacon turned off but she still walked right in front of the engine. Now whether or not she actually attended the safety briefings I don't think that's been confirmed. But as I'm sure you know complacency is a killer and when you get accustomed to working in a dangerous environment you sometimes become oblivious to the hazards.
I fly a single turboprop with a 9' propellor and on a daily basis I have line guys instructing me to taxi up to within 8 ft of their position with out any consideration of what would happen if my brakes were to suddenly fail or I didn't stop in time.

If you had 2 of those foot skins, you could make a great pair of moccasins.

Fuck that. Death wish much?

Air Force Marshaling Protocol is (with some exceptions) to guide aircraft in maintaining line-of-sight with the pilot at all times and well clear of intake hazard areas/ground hazard markings. TBH, I've never marshaled a propeller-driven aircraft, they've all been jets. I did get close to the B-29 "Fifi" while performing EOR arming on A-10's, but that was just because the No.2 engine decided to sneeze and catch the engine cowling on fire. Luckily the prop wash blew it out before I had to apply the halon to it. Afterwards I was thinking, fuck I'd be thick-sliced ham if I had to work around these things for any period of time.
