Celebrating Christmas with triplets after losing four babies due to ectopic pregnancies is nothing short of a miracle for a UK mom. Anna Mitchell lost four babies in the past and nearly gave up having children with her husband. However, she and her husband welcomed three babies in July and are preparing to celebrate their first Christmas with kids, thanks to successful IVF procedure , according to a Decembe 16 News Hour 24 report.

This Christmas, with triplets, after losing four babies in the past is priceless, especially if you know the backstory.

Anna's ordeal began back in 2010 when she and her husband tried having a baby together. The first time around, the couple lost their baby in a high risk pregnancy that resulted when the egg failed to implant in the uterus. Essentially, if not caught in the first trimester, a mother will likely die from internal bleeding.

The next two attempts all ended in the same manner, which left the couple with little hope of conceiving a child. And after the third failed attempt, the doctor removed Anna's Fallopian tube and warned that she would likely never be able to give birth naturally.

We haven't bothered decorating our house for years, as there was just the two of us and no children to fill it. But this Christmas we have three wonderful little reasons to decorate the house from top to toe with baubles, tinsel and lights.

During this ordeal, the Mitchells encountered another life-changing moment. Anna's mom died of liver cancer. However, she left her daughter with an inheritance that Anna put to good use: she decided to try in vitro fertilization.

Shockingly, the first attempt ended with yet a fourth failed pregnancy. But the couple persevered and tried one more time. Voila! The doctor performing the procedure returned good news of a successful pregnancy.

"And there it was - a little heartbeat pumping away. I cried with relief. I’d lost four babies, and now here it was, a heartbeat in the right place at last. I felt as though mum was looking down on me and helping me along," Anna said.

Little did she know, there was more good news: Not only was she pregnant; she would celebrate Christmas with triplets after losing four babies! Imagine that!

The tiny tots were born underweight, but otherwise everyone, including mom, is healthy.

On the priceless news, the new mom of four had this to say,

"It's the first Christmas we have with our three little miracles, Summer, Joseph and Jacob - and we mean to make the most of it. But there is one thing we won’t forget - and that's mum, who made it all possible."
