Re: Childs Eye Cut by Cat

maybe next time she won't bother a cat when it wants to be left alone. in almost every case of a child being scratched or bitten by a child, (outside of playing too rough) the child was the aggressor and the cat was acting in self defense.

Re: Childs Eye Cut by Cat

I already have zero love for cats as it is. It would be so dead if it harmed my kid like that... Honestly though, I'd probably put it inside a pillow case, and drive to some distant park and set it free. Then, let someone else adopt it rather than bring it to a shelter where it would be put to sleep.

Yeah but 50 bucks says someone will report a "feral" or wild cat, an animal shelter would come and pick it up, and it would end up being euthanized anyway.

Re: Childs Eye Cut by Cat

Ya' know? This wasn't that bad... I was expecting the laceration to be on the eyeball itself..
Lucky child. she'll have a neat scar and gets to retain her eyesight in that eye.
Sucks she got hurt, if anyone is to blame, it's the parents..
Parents for three reasons :
1, Did they teach their child how to act around an animal?
2, Were they even supervising their child?
3, Was the cat feral? If so? Why did they keep the cat?

Then again? accidents happen...
