Re: Cephalic Disorders

Damn, I think we've had various posts over the years demonstrating the cephalic disorders, but I think this is the first showing one with a completely absent head!
Definitely. I actually learned about it while making this thread. Crazy stuff.

Re: Cephalic Disorders

This is a post I had in Current News about a local couple who chose to carry their anencephalic baby to term.

http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...update-147412/
I read about that, too. I normally would object to subjecting a living being to suffering, but anencephalic babies suffer very little, if at all. I think it's a kind sentiment. But, you responded to a comment about acephaly, not anencephaly.

Re: Cephalic Disorders

Folate is a must for any ladies who might get pregnant! It lowers the chance of neural tube disorders.

Re: Cephalic Disorders

Definitely. But you'd be glad to know that most of them have minimal suffering because of a lack of awareness and absence of many pain pathways. Still a shame, though. Take your folate, people.
Actually the pathways of pain are of the most basal, besides those responsible for the neurotransmission of involuntary function, like breathing.

I'm well aware of the mechanisms within the field of neurology. I'm saying that the general pathways of widespread pain are largely muted in disorders of the brainstem.
