Cellulitis??
I was working outside all day last Monday, clearing a hillside. When I came in that night, my finger started to swell and today I noticed it's creeping into my hand. I went to the doctor and they said it's either cellulitis or osteoarthritis. Not gory or bloody, but still gross and painful. The pain is a deep throb, like when you've got a ring on that's too small. It's fucking annoying.  ·  ·  ·  · |

The doctor initially thought so, but I had heavy gloves on and there's no wound from a bite. Honestly I don't think they're entirely sure what it is.

It does look more like a bite but I would certainly think they would at least xray it before they went to an MRI. Keep us posted.

If in a few days the skin begans peeling off like after a sunburn, it's cellulitis.

The swelling has gone down today, which is nice because it doesn't throb as much. I'm on an antibiotic to see if it's an infection.

It sure looked like cellulitis, which can start with just a tiny scratch or cut in the skin letting in just the right (or wrong) bacteria in and bam! Cellulitis. Hope it continues to improve. |
