Very true... almost all serial killers have a history of hurting and killing animals as children. I work in child mental health, and cruelty to animals is one of the most significant and disturbing signs you can see in a child. He should have been sent to a mental hospital after his stay in jail. And after that, he should have been tied to a post for people to shoot arrows at him.
