Cat Impaled with a Crossbow
A 1.5-pound kitten was found near Tarpon Springs, Fla., in August 2005, impaled from shoulder to abdomen with an arrow shot from a crossbow. The kitten was left with a broken rib, a punctured lung and a lacerated liver. Kathy Powers, 45, found the kitten the following morning and veterinarians were able to successfully remove the arrow, according to reports from the St. Petersburg Times. The shooter, 19-year-old Stephen Cockerill of Palm Harbor, Fla., was charged with animal cruelty and sentenced to 30 days in prison and 18 months of probation. Powers adopted the kitten and named it Archer.

30 days in jail? good, the quicker he gets out the quicker i can shoot him with a crossbow.
