Cash-in-transit Heist Goes Horribly Wrong for One Robber
A cash-in-transit (CIT) heist attempt in South Africa was foiled, resulting in one suspect being severely injured and approximately 10 others fleeing the scene. A group of armed robbers targeted a Fidelity Cash Solutions truck. According to reports, a silver BMW rammed into the cash van in an attempt to stop it, and the suspects tried to use explosives to access the cash. However, the plan backfired when an explosive device detonated prematurely, severely injuring one suspect, who reportedly lost a leg and more bits and was undergoing surgery. The remaining suspects fled without stealing any cash. Police are investigating the incident as a case of attempted armed robbery and attempted murder. No fatalities were reported, and authorities are still searching for the escaped suspects. Can hardly believe that guy is still alive as that's more than just a leg he lost. |
