A gentleman in his 50's was referred to the department of plastic surgery with recurrent carcinoma of the buccal mucosa with oro cutaneous fistula and severe trismus (lockjaw). The carcinoma was removed along with radical neck dissection with stripping of internal jugular vein. He had undergone reconstruction of the buccal mucosal defect with pectoralis major myocutaneous flap coverage.

He later received radiation therapy along with 6 cycles of chemotherapy.
