I smoked for years, tried to give it up a few times but in the end you have to be sick of it to the point of hating cigarettes to be successful. Its all a mental thing, for me I had to hate them and see it as a fight between me and them.

As a non-smoker, it's hard to understand how one could become so addicted to a substance, that they would willingly continue to use, knowing that this is the end result. I'm not knocking those who choose to smoke, I just don't understand it.
