Re: CANCER BABY

First it's not cancer and it's not serious. It is disturbing because the severity seems to be directly linked to the quality of child care that is going on.
Impetigo (im-puh-TIE-go) is a highly contagious skin infection that mainly affects infants and children. Impetigo usually appears as red sores on the face, especially around a child's nose and mouth. Although it commonly occurs when bacteria enter the skin through cuts or insect bites, it can also develop in skin that's perfectly healthy.

Impetigo is seldom serious, and usually clears on its own in two to three weeks. But because impetigo can sometimes lead to complications, your child's doctor may choose to treat impetigo with an antibiotic ointment or oral antibiotics.

Your child can usually return to school or a child care setting as soon as he or she isn't contagious — often within 24 hours of starting antibiotic therapy
I knew when I saw this that it looked familiar and thought it might be impetigo. I love google when it comes up with good results.

This child is recovering nicely after being treated with antibiotics.

Impetigo is a superficial skin infection that occurs on open, exposed areas of skin. This infection occurs most commonly in children but usually does not cause serious illness. The infection starts at sites of minor skin trauma such as insect bites or abrasions. The affected skin may develop small (less than 5mm) fluid filled bumps that develop golden honey-crusting when bumps burst. Usually, multiple skin lesions are present. Impetigo is easily spread within families and close contacts. Other risk factors for infection include warm, humid conditions and poor hygiene. Impetigo is most commonly caused by a bacterium called Streptococcus, but more and more frequently, impetigo is caused by MRSA; CA-MRSA now accounts for 7-20% of impetigo infections.[8] Impetigo caused by Streptococcus and CA-MRSA look identical.
Like I already wrote, It's the dirty people that have this problem. My brother and sister both got this but only later I got one small sore and mine was healed while they were still whining about the sores. I cleaned my infection every day being very careful to NOT scratch it and spread it. In fact I would not even touch it unless I had a hot water and soap handy and I kept it covered with ointment and a bandaid.
