Calcinosis cutis (or cutaneous calcification) is a type of calcinosis wherein calcium deposits form in the skin. A variety of factors can result in this condition. The most common source is dystrophic calcification, which occurs in soft tissue as a response to injury. In dogs, calcinosis cutis is virtually pathognomonic for Canine Cushing's syndrome.

I had one of those once.

I just noticed it one day. It seemed like it had been there all along.

I never noticed it building up and it never got worse.

I tried a bunch of times to squeeze it, thinking maybe I could break it down somewhat but it never changed.

It was there for at least 10 years (if I remember correctly) and then one day I looked and it was gone.

Strange.
