A bullfighting excitement ended in horror this weekend in the municipality of Xico, Veracruz , when a young bullfighter identified as Roberto was brutally attacked by two bulls, suffering a spectacular goring in the head that put the religious festival of Santa María Magdalena on hold.

The events occurred during one of the traditional street bullfights held on Miguel Hidalgo Street, in the heart of the Magical Town, where tourists and locals gathered to witness the bullfighting event.

Roberto, wearing a beret that partially covered his face, bravely faced one of the 21 fighting bulls released into the streets.

While performing a risky task on his knees, one of the animals—weighing approximately 300 kilos—surprised him from behind.

Within seconds, the bull in front of him also charged at him, and together they lifted him off the ground with their horns, tearing open part of his face.

The young man managed to crawl away from the bulls while other attendees tried to pull them away. He struggled to his feet and ran, covered in blood, to the nearest medical center. There he was assisted by three paramedics and a police officer
