Breast Cancer & Tumor Mix
Collection of neglected advanced stage breast tumors, most of them malignant and terminal. Many exhibit fungation - malodorous ulcerative and necrotic lesions with a yellow-brown color and a fungus-like appearance and growth. Some of the largest tumors shown are not strictly breast cancer, but non-cancerous phyllodes tumors. |

Damn, those poor gals. I'm assuming most of these women are from undeveloped parts of the world. I can't fathom how it could get to this point otherwise. |

Re: Breast Cancer & Tumor Mix
I've had several patients like this. The smell.... You could smell it coming down the hall. A lot of them were in denial. One lady wouldn't even let us see it, "dressed" it herself with sanitary pads, couldn't understand why she couldn't walk anymore (hint, the cancer had spread EVERYWHERE, including her spine) But my most recent was a guy who had a "mole" on his back. It looked like a giant (think grapefruit sized) swedish meatball. |
