Breast Cancer
This 58 year old lady has breast cancer. She had a portion of the breast removed and was told she was fine-no other treatments. Well, she was not. We did a MRM today. On the closeup of the preop breast you can see a good example of peau d’orange, a marker for obstructed lymphatics. We will give her chemo then radiation. Her prognosis is poor except she has a good functional level. The last picture shows the axillary dissection at 6 o’clock.
