Re: Bread Mold Fungus Eats Man's Face
First off what the doctor said is misleading. There are over 3000 types of Mucor. They all will infest different foods and hosts. There are very few that will infect a human host because almost all of them can not survive in at body temperature and ph. Mucor indicus is the one that will infect a human and spread rapidly. It is NOT bread mold. I think it unlikely he got it from bread mold. They doctor was trying to make things simple and just muddied the waters by saying it was basically bread mold. It wasn't or isn't bread mold. Never was bread mold. It is simular to bread mold but not the same. So go back to having bread anytime you like. But if you see any sign of bread mold like spots the whole loaf is infected. Toss it ALL in the garbage. It is unhealthy and can cause cancer. My Grandmother used to let one of her friends live with us and I hated that woman cause she saved all sorts of food. Moldy, stale or whatever. And then one day she just got stomach cancer, swelled up and died. It happened so very fast. I told my grandmother served her right for stuffing our fridge with rotten food. She died a rotten death. If it looks bad or smells bad it IS bad. Toss it out. There are other things not as bad as Mucor indicus that can still kill you or at least make you sick. |
