WTF!! I've seen this done before (assuming that they're trying to realign the bones) and every time they say that the patient needs to be relaxed/out of it so that the muscles are relaxed.
Then again maybe I did also see it with an awake patient.
I'm confused.

mmm this is brutal as hell! Usually the patient gets sedated with some Midazolam & Morphine. I mean there is no need for a patient to go through this inside a hospital in this day and age! Brazil is surely not that backwards!

I broke my arm when i was 13 - they did that to me without any pain relief.

I broke my leg. Nothing for the pain. I was hoping they would knock me out but no drugs or anything. Sucked.
