Brain Aneurysm Treatment
I had two femoral angiograms when I had my brain bleed in 1997 so the surgeons could locate the malformation. I did not have the coil treatment as above, I had surgery to excise the abnormal tangle of vessels.

Re: Brain Aneurysm Treatment
This was almost 4 years ago now Sharon. The guy was as fit as a fiddle, played semi-pro football, never had nothing wrong with him, didn't smoke, didn't do drugs, a light drinker....then this happened. Came as a bit of a shock. RIP James

Re: Brain Aneurysm Treatment
My Step Mom had An aneurysm that was diagnosed and her surgery was for Dec. 26th. Well on the night of the 25th, Christmas, it burst. She knew what was happening but it was too late. She went into A coma and stayed there for the next 6 mo.'s. I felt horrible for my Father and learned in that period of time just how much he loved her. She was lucky to have survived, because after they operated, the Dr. said the vein was 1 and 1/2 inches around when it burst, and left alot of blood on the brain. She is much better now, with A small limp and short term memory loss, and has lost vision in her left eye. But she is grateful to be alive!! And I am happy her and my Father are still in love!! |
