I am not sure it is living at all. This is why doctors do ultrasound tests and abort babies with these types of disabling conditions.  |

I think the villagers must be bringing their ill and deformed children to the monk for some type of blessing. At least the monk looks to be handling the children in a gentle and caring manner.

Correct. He also gives them some money and posts these cases online so hopefully people give more people so some of them can get surgery/help.
