Black coloured comedones are oxidised keratin. Yellowish part is unoxidised part. Oxidation is a process or chemical reaction which is opposite of reduction. Reduction is actually gain of electron or loss of oxygen. While oxidation is gain of oxygen or gain of electrons. So as soon as keratin oxidizes it converts black in colour. When Iron reacts with oxygen it forms rust. Where oxidation of iron takes place while oxygen undergoes reduction.
