It is a terrible feeling when your body and legs get heavy like that. The first time my C6 disc herniated, I went through paralysis for about 30 hrs before I had an emergency surgery. I woke up that day in terrible pain, which seemed to decrease throughout the day. By noon, I wasn't able to pee. Around 4ish, I tried to get up to attempt to use the toilet and dropped like a stone. I pulled myself around on the floor with my arms and pretty much deadlifted myself onto my platform bed by bending backwards at a nasty angle. Had to call the ambulance to get me outta there and to the hospital. I actually had to go to another hospital 2 hrs away to have the surgery. The Dr told me I'd have been a quadrapalegic if I had been 2 hrs later....
sounds like a nightmare. glad you saved your legs.
