Video posting by Ammon McNeely itself after suffering an open fracture in the ankle, caused by a serious accident while practicing Base Jumping.

Ammon, who is also a climber, lost control and ended up crashing into some rocks. The recording was made while he waited for the rescue and is awesome its tranquility and coolness filming the torn ankle itself.

Ammon McNeely lost 3 pints of blood, was taken to hospital and underwent surgery to have his ankle reconstituted. In the end everything turned out fine!

I love that he had sense enough to put a tourniquet on. Poor guy, he most likely did lose his leg, or will never be able to base jump again. Demeanor was metal as fuck though.

Even when he expelled the word "Fuck" it was spoken very calmly.

Then again, I remember having a SEVERE case of gout in my knee..
(First and only time.. about a year ago. Actually required surgery.)
When the doc drained my knee in the E.R. ... That was pretty much unbearable...
Then I was shipped off to surgery to get it re-drained, rinsed and a suction drain implanted..
