These are the result of PPD (I believe that's the chemical) and patch testing could work but you can be allergic to it at any point. It was named allergen of the year once because of people becoming suddenly allergic to it. It is banned in the UK but there's still quite a few companies over here that use it. I had a reaction and swelled up in my face like a balloon. Itchy scaly scalp, it was gross.  |

One summer when I was around 10, I got this terrible sunburn that caused my eyes to swell up like that. I hid in my room for weeks. But I guess I found another reason for being on DR: shutting myself up and no longer bitching and complaining when I get tiny stuff like that! |

My face has been that bloated with hives before. It was a dust mite allergy or something though, they never quite figured it out. And it hasn't happened since I was 16 so  |
