Re: Baby Born with Stomach on Outside
Damn navel just opened up. Worst of all is a condition found in cattle -prone to monsters- where the embryo is INSIDE-OUT. The condition is called Schistosomatus. The monster is generally cut in half to allow delivery, since it is contorted backwards and the inner organs surround it.

Re: Baby Born with Stomach on Outside
There are 2 conditions that babies can be born with that are like this 1. The first one is called gastroschisis, which is the intestines, both large and small. And in worst cases the organs too. The second condition is called exomphalos, where the intestines and sometimes the organs are in a membrane. I know about this as my son was born with gastroschisis. All of his large and all of his small intestines were on the outside. Normally this is seen on the ultra-sound scans that you have. Sadly my sons was missed on the scan, we went over them after he was born and we could see it. Normally they are delivered delivered early and by c-section. Aston was born normally and he was 12 days early, he was 7.5lbs born and nice and pick. Fortunatly for us he had size on his side and they managed to get all his guts back in his belly in 1 operation. |
