This is actually "Acrania", which means that there is a brain in a sac (which you can see), but failure of the skull to close. "Anencephaly" is where there is only the forebrain present with most of the skull (albeit mishapen). Either way, it's incredibly sad.

This brought tears to my eyes. I cannot imagine the pain parents feel when things like this happen. I pray I don't ever have to experience it, I don't know if I could live with it. =( So sad.
