Hospitals have to go all out to save every baby, even if it has no chance of long-term survival. Unless the parents sign for the hospital to withhold treatment, the doctors have to do EVERYTHING for the baby. Parents have thrown massive lawsuits at hospitals for doing anything less. I had a co-worker whose son was born with trisomy 18, which is 99% lethal and the few that live for a few years are vegetables, and she wanted everything done. Surgery on his heart defects, surgery to fix his cleft lip... the doctors kept telling here there was no functional brain, but she couldn't let it go... he died after three weeks anyway, just like they told her he would.

haha... these babies should actually die... it's natural... this is a side-effect of evolution... we are mutating all the time to fit our enviorment better.... sometimes shit happens and this is the result.. darwin is the shit!
