Sad, but living with a deformed kid shouldn't be something to be forced to do..

Aborted at 18 weeks.

You really can't predict whether or not they would have lived, but, I think it depends on which organs are shared. Some conjoined twins give up when their twin is taken away or dies. I remember the girl with the parasitic twin in Egypt. She didn't smile after she was separated. Supposedly, twins have a bond and sense what the other one feels. Alot of people don't know Elvis Presley was a twin, but, Jesse Aaron died at birth and is buried at Graceland.

i read a blog recently of a twin who still thinks of her twin who died at birth. she is still very upset about it, still angry.

i think parents thinking about selective abortion in the case of multiple children during pregnancy need to know that.

Hard concept to digest but you are right. The twins in that link live a great life. Saw them on TV

So this baby was a siamese twin? How would they know he wouldn't have lived or been able to be separated? It's a very tragic scenario

the doctors did not tell my daughter in law and son about their son's brain defect until she was 21 1/2 weeks pregnant. then they told her that she had one day to make a decision and get an appointment because you can only have the abortion up to 22 weeks at planned parenthood. hospitals in CA refuse to do abortions any longer. mind you abortion is legal up until birth here. talk about pressure.

I had a married friend pregnant with in vitro (test tube) twins. Turned out one had Klienfelter's XXY. When they tried "harvesting the Klienfelter's twin, both died.

I think this was a mistake on her part.
