Avascular Necrosis
Last year I was diagnosed with avascular necrosis of the hip at the age of 35 due to heavy long term alcohol use. It caused fatty deposits to build up in my blood stream eventually blocking the tiny blood vessels in the hip bones causing them to die. I underwent double hip replacement, and the doctor shared the photos of my hip bones after he cut them out.
