Re: Assisted Suicide on German Tv
Clearly, you have never seen anyone suffer to the point of them no longer wanting to be on this Earth. Being in constant excruciating pain, having to wear fucking diapers, all dignity; gone, etc. Shut the fuck up. |

Re: Assisted Suicide on German Tv
I think everyone should have the right to die with dignity, especially terminally ill people, because I think I'd rather die peacefully like that than have my children an loved ones forever having that final image of me an remembering me suffering an so I'll an not looking like me X

Re: Assisted Suicide on German Tv
I apologize for the length, but want to explain to some why one would chose to exit this way: There are times that a person is in chronic pain, and is living in a bed/ gurney. They can't live without someone changing their diapers, helping them eat, or they can't eat at all except through a tube, etc. This is not only about the ego & living with dignity....but chronic pain day in and day out can be very terrible. Especially if the patient has cancer, etc. That patient finally decides they aren't living anymore.......but existing. The patient knows they won't get better. My Father had Alzheimer's, and went through a terrible ending. He was lost & everything that made him so witty & wonderful, just disappeared. He died a literal zombie. Some patients know they will face an end like this & don't want to be a burden to their family, some finally consider they aren't living anymore & are facing the fact that they will not get better, but continue to get worse. My opinion is that this good lady's death was fairly painless, as opposed to doing something awful & painful to yourself (Robin Williams). I am not pro-offing oneself....but facing the future of your body continuing to fail you, or worse... where your future is just existing in a gurney with round the clock nursing care.....till you disappear ....& knowing you won't get better - but actually worse. Then add chronic pain, bed sores, feeling like a burden on your spouse & family, both financially & physically....I can understand at times why one would chose this choice. Many that choose this, are Christian & feel that once they exit their failing body....their souls will be in heaven & free. Before I get spanked for being a bible thumper or my statements above, I've seen this several times as a nurse + my Dad, who went out the hard way, because they didn't have that Death with Dignity Medication that is now prescribed in states like California & Oregon. Regarding other patients, though I wasn't present @ the time of death, like this nurse above.....the notes or letters left by the patient / or the family, explain exactly what I'd mentioned above about exiting the failing body/ or vessel & the soul finally being free....with no more pain & with many mentioning heaven. Just my thoughts~ |

Re: Assisted Suicide on German Tv
Sure is the clinic in Switzerland because it's always the same very touchy nurse you see in docu's about euthanasia.
