Re: Ass Hair
these are most definitely pressure sores post debridement according to the lack of necrotic tissue. also you can see where the edges of the sites are granulating and new tissue is present. also the white substance around the edges is likely a zink based creme residue which helps with healing. I've taken these sores from gaping holes 6 or 8 Inch in diameter to fully healed and closed. they stink like you would not believe prior to the removal of the necrotic (dead and rotting) tissue. the smell can get in your nose so to speak and ruin your dinner. sadly once the site is healed and the affected person is deemed ok and forgot about once again the sores will quickly return. this is clearly from sitting and not being able to move due to immobility. seems to me tho by the presence of good muscle this is a person who may have become immobilized recently and they are not geriatric normally. maybe an accident or stroke victim. just a guess.

Looks almost like this https://www.researchgate.net/figure/...-fasciitis-1-3 seems like a shitty place to get an infection, pun intended

Re: Ass Hair
Those are pressure ulcers. Also called bed sores. They happen a lot to nursing home bedridden patients. The severity of those wounds show some serious neglect. They start out as just red marks and progressively get worse. Left untreated they can lead to sepsis, shock, and death. I've seen much much worse. I was called to a nursing home where an elderly woman was so badly neglected that her asshole and vagina rotted into one giant, gaping, infected hole. Needless to say, she didn't make it. Nursing home was immediately shut down and the whole staff was brought up on charges.

Re: Ass Hair
In hospice care for indigent folks we used to receive elderly people that had been severely neglected.. The above is about a step and half beyond anything I saw while I was there for two years. A sad side note is that no one goes to hospice to get better (generally), simply to go out easier than somewhere else. I could take only two years and I tapped out:( I met some real characters though for sure which was the upside.. until they were gone, then I watched them get buried in in a cardboard box with a tag on a block and that was it. Amongst the predisposed hundreds just like them lined up and all about across hard pan desert. |
