Argentinian Woman Set Herself on Fire to Claim for Social Housing
An Argentinian woman set herself on fire within the Municipality of Quilmes to claim for social housing and, although she was treated in a hospital with minor injuries, she was received by municipal officials. According to the Municipality, Monica Valdivieso, suffered minor injuries after being sprayed with alcohol and set on fire because no official received her complaint about the poor living conditions of a house that was assigned to her in the Mozart neighborhood. The woman, mother of eight children, was assisted in the place and transferred to Hospital Iriarte by ambulance of SAME. After being attended, she decided to return to the Intendance, where she was received by the Secretary of Social Development, Maria Angel Sotolona. |
