... probably went to extended DTs. Whomever was around must have tied him/her down while trying to "help" -- perhaps while trying to protect the alcoholic from himself or keep him from drinking. Maybe they thought he/she was possessed or something. DTs can be very violent and can go on for days. They are very dangerous. I saw a vid of a guy going through dt seizures. Went on for like a week. Guess he/she's lucky to not be dead? Imagine the brain damage.

I went through DT's..living hell..Feel like your skin is crawling off (my best description is termites or ants crawling on your bones under your skin trying to get out), audible/visual/touch(forget word for it.) hallucinations.
Blood pressure changes,seizures. physical pain..aches cramps..hangover multiplied 10,000+.
Then they gave me klonopin,valium and tegratol to combat it..
Still sucked ass..still felt like shit.
Good news? 4 years sober on the 15th of January

This was either someone tied him up to stop him from drinking/combat DT's as others previous posted.
Or...
Someone got a bit tied up in bed...and was left there to rot..litterally..
