A young adult male working in a factory was accidently exposed to anhydrous ammonia gas. He was referred to the plastic surgery unit.

He underwent a wash of all his chemical burn areas in the casualty with copious amount of water then surgical debridement and regular dressings were applied. He made an uneventful recovery and was advised skin grafting but did decided not to have it.

Wonder why he refused skin grafts? Maybe he'd suffered enough.

Just a guess, but I dont think his country has the same type of health care and thats why he turned down treatment. If I was a poor factory worker that was told that i could have something fixed that wasn't killing me but would cost most of what I had ... Id go around looking ugly too.

I don't know..Anhydrous Ammonia...not sure about it burning your flesh..but I know if inhaled it would kill you..if not mistaken it is Ammonia with the absense of water in a gaseous form used in fertilizers, and productions of methamphetimine..
And will cause immediate damage to throat and lungs...
I don't think this man was burned by anhydrous ammonia..

With those black pillows, he almost looks like an F1 car from above.
