This is a very thorough collection of photos. I think they are very beautiful photographs, and the women are beautiful as well... I am one of those people that sees beauty in everything.
I can't believe how painful that must have been... how they did not die of shock or infection, I don't know.
And the picture of the child?!?!?!? What the hell? Who would do that to a child...

There are 7,000 verified acid attacks in Pakistan in just two cities alone, Lahore being one, the other city name was not listed. Children are often burned as when the acid is thrown, the men do not care if they are holding a child. Also young girls 10-11 get burned for various reasons, recently 3 sisters were burned for walking without a male relative, and 2 sisters were burned (reason not listed).
Men are also burned with acid, although rarely compared to women, the reasons are usually property disputes or jealousy.
