Re: Abortions

Those aborted babies were ALIVE too! Before people like YOU helped make it legal to kill them, just because they were dependant on her womb temporarily. There's FAR more babies that were killed by abortions than are homeless. FAR FAR FAR more. Please check stats before you deliver a retort.
Well if there were less abortions there would be MANY MANY MANY more in the system preying that a new mommy or daddy will rescue them from the life that they live now

Re: Abortions

if it were only that easy. i will never understand the difficulty met with wanting to adopt an uwanted child and yet they can be sent to possible foster homes where abused, sometimes to death and these places are not monitored. here, you are checked so thoroughly to be a foster parent, in the US i don't know how much. then, when a good. loving foster parent wants to adopt the abused child, and they are sent back to their abusive home. anyway, even new babies put up for adoption it is hard to find homes for. although it seems they should allow this easier, you have to have money for the process and have nothing wrong with you, etc. people have been turned down for silly reasons. i wish it was so easy and some people do make the right choice. some cannot fathom giving a child away. i know that doesn't bode well with people, but it is a fact. also, if a teen is young, parents have a say as well. then there is the whole stem cell issue which could help ill people. it is such a sticky wicket. i understand your feelings. i know of women who have miscarried or want children so badly and pay through the nose and have resorted to adoption in China because the north american system can be almost more difficult.

Re: Abortions

I have a friend who was told that she was going to be unable to have kids. I offered to have a baby for her even tho my pregnancy was the worst 8 and a half months of my life. I puked all day every day and spent more time in hospital than out. So i understand what it is like to love somebody who is unable to conceive.
What an awesome sacrifice to offer to your friend. That was a very selfless thing to do. I almost had a nervous breakdown when I had my miscarriage. It was especially bad when the doctor told me there was very little chance of me having a viable pregnancy. I could actually get pregnant but it would end in a miscarriage if I did. I think that's why abortion bothers me so much. I think it's such a great gift for a woman to be able to bring a child into this world. A gift I'll never have.

Re: Abortions

Well clearly you are very well educated and mature. Great job.
Don't attack and you won't have any problems. You were never addressed by me. So, why attack my opinion? I believe you called me ignorant.

If i told you that the friend that i offered to have a baby for has just had a girl...would you believe me. She had an eptopic pregnancy and a tube removed, then she found out that she had endometriosis (extremely bad case) and had to have surgery for that. She was told that she would never get pregnant again (after 2 misscarriages) she had to have a blood test cos she was feeling down and they wold her that she was 2 weeks pregnant. She has had a hell of a time with the pregnancy, but the baby was born last week. She was a little bit prem but she is doing well :)

Re: Abortions

Sometimes it's better to die than live... also adopting will not get cheaper if people stopped aborting it would be more expensive as it would cost more to the state to keep more kids alive... if abortion is murder then ejaculation is mass-murder!

Yes, excellent point, and true. However, the theory of "supply and demand" would lead to an excess of adoptable children. It will almost certainly make adoption an easier process to "qualify" for.
God knows, most people wanting to adopt who are denied would make far better parents than parents who are never questioned as to their suitability as parents by Child Protective Services. Very terrible predicament.
On the other hand;
More and more private adoptions are being done by matching sites online, similar to a dating site. Look on Google. I helped a young unmarried girl go through an adoption process using one of those sites. It was fantastic to be in the delivery room and watch the "handover" to the new parents. WOW, so moving. It can be done without the use of bullshit money-hungry "agencies".

Graceful comment to a classless post.

I hated both her fuckin posts and had to really supress the immediate implulse to attack her and defend your feelings. This is a very sensitive topic for most people. Some people just bulldoze through without regard for the recipient's feelings.
